Power Wheels Desert Drifters are the Power Wheels you coveted as a child, but all done up Mad Max-style - complete with spikes, spears, and other automatic weapons (of the foam dart variety). Your kids can pretend to be rogue gangs, by-the-book or disillusioned MFP officers, or just regular folks trying desperately to survive in a dystopian version of the future Land Down Under. These Power Wheels Desert Drifters have a top forward speed of 7.5 mph and can take quite a lot of hits (and driving) before needing a battery recharge. That's right, with Power Wheels Desert Drifters, your kids won't be fighting over gasoline - they'll be fighting over the extension cord. Just make sure they understand who runs Bartertown. YOU run Bartertown!

One of the items on our list has some serious power that we only recommend for older kids, and this is the Razor MX650 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike, which can travel up to 65 miles per hour. The dual suspension is a nice comfort aspect to this product because it will get the motocross bike much more comfortable to ride on rougher ground. As a fast as it looks, it can only go forward at 2.5 miles per hour and 5.0 miles per hour and it can go in reverse at 2.5 miles per hour. Which is fast enough for most young kids. It has a simple and easy to operate reverse push button. There are real side mirrors on the vehicle which give it even more realistic looking along with a spacious load bed, of course by kids expectations of spacious.
Another factor we took into account is the authenticity of the product.  We want to remain culturally relevant, whether it is using a keyed-ignition for the design or a push-button starter, a manual or automatic stick shift.  Whatever a child witnesses in their everyday life with Mom and Dad, or other adults on TV, we wanted it to reflect in our products — the look and the feel! Who wouldn’t want the authentic chrome-look of wheels on a Ford F-150 truck?
When we received our driver’s license, it was the most joyous moment in our lives. It signalled our abilities and our sense of independence. The same is true with children as they drive their electric ATVs, supercars, jeeps, and trucks around the neighborhood or in the park. This helps build their sense of independence which can help boost their self-confidence. This then translates into better self-esteem. The kid’s sense of self-worth is thus, enhanced giving rise to the formation of a healthier self-concept.
A: It is proven that our auditory functions and familiar with the world begins in-utero. From an incredibly early age, we begin to make sense of our environment through auditory senses.  This helps to reinforce socio-cognitive function, as well as begin the early development of hand-eye coordination – it truly is a skill to rock-out to a tune while steering a vehicle!
In 1998, Fisher-Price undertook a monumental recall of up to 10 million Power Wheels 12 volt and Super 6 volt vehicles manufactured since 1986. The recall and repair program was conducted to replace battery fuses and strengthen battery connectors in order to prevent the units from overheating. The main difference of a post recall Power Wheel is that the original "H" (or on very early Power Wheels, "S") connectors are removed and replaced with the larger, black "A" connectors. If a Power Wheels ride-on was built in or before 1998 and has the Black "A" connectors, then the recall work has probably been performed.
