When buying these items, it is also important to watch at the level and complexity of assembly that is required before your small one can safely run the car. Some cars require only quick assembly while others require extensive assembly which is going to consume a lot of time. There are certain these kids toys that come pre-assembled and you will only need to fix the seats and steering wheel.
This BMW is amazing to say the least. This licensed electric toy car for kids has it all! Imagine watching your smaller one not only carry his own set of car keys, but actually using them to start up his very own, too-real-for-words, licensed BMW X6 . Yup, you guessed it! This electric car ride-on sports a genuine functioning key-activated start up.

I wish I had one when I was a kid! So far, the battery usually lasts at least a 1/2 hour or about two miles. There's two speeds for forward and one for reverse. The slow speed goes a little slower than normal walking speed and the fast speed goes about as fast as a slow jogging speed. I like that there's a screw to lock out the faster speed for younger kids (late 2 early 3?). I think this Jeep is good for kids between late 2 - 5 our 6ish? My son just turned 4 and I think he's perfect size for it (of course I do). See the attached video. We've already been riding it for about a half hour at that point. It was on the fast speed and going about normal walking speed. The battery does slowly drain so it does give you a heads-up that its starting to run low on battery. I don't know exactly how long it takes to fully charge it but it's at least a few hours. You do need to assemble the Jeep but if you're good with directions, it's pretty straight forward. It took at least an hour to set up.
Just perfect for a single child looking to ride around in style. This ride on car can be operated either by the driver in the car by pressing the pedal or by remote control. It is great for both experienced riders and new to the electric car game. It offers a spring suspension, great traction with 14 inch wheels, and fun features on the exterior that make it look just like the real thing. The body has been constructed from a non-toxic plastic and has a working seat belt, gear shifter, doors that magnetically close and LED lights. There are three speed options; low, medium, and high plus it even has a built-in radio. The radio can play tunes from the local stations or plug in their own playlist with the AUX cable. The weight capacity is 65 pounds and has a rechargeable battery that is included. Get ready to have some fun in the park or back yard with this one.
As adults, we often underestimate the needs of the kids in our life, including how quickly they want to get behind the wheel and drive around the yard or on the miniature pavements in your home. These cars provide the only legal and safe-way through which kids can control around the home. There are qualities that you need to look for when you are purchasing a car for your kid or your toddler. Protection is always an important consideration. You’ll be keeping your eye out for protection, speed, parental remote control and more.

Flashy sports car that is ready to make your kids feel like they are driving the real thing. This ride on electric car has been designed with integrated gears that switch and features LED lighting just like the real cars. It is safe, fun, and even has working sounds; horn and engine. The seatbelt keeps them safe, while they operate the car at two different speeds, high and low. The car can be controlled by the driver using the speed pedal and steering wheel or remotely controlled by a parent. It is best suited for a child ages 3 years old to 7 years old under the weight of 66 pounds. With all the flashy features on this ride on your kids will want to drive around the neighborhood just to show it off.
So far this thing rocks! Great for the price. Works well- lights and sound are great. The remote is an awwwwesome feature, as we bought this for a 2 year old. With this price point you miss a few frills though. You manually have to switch it from automatic to remote mode, and the button to do this is in the car. It is also controlled by either all manual or all remote. When in remote mode, the child isn't in control at all (which may be good for some!). I just wish my daughter could press the gas and I could steer. However, when using he remote the child can override the steering, though it doesn't sound good when this happens (like it may break?) :/ Also, there is no battery level or charge indicator- you just have to guess and wing it. Having two speed options is great. However, the stop and go is a really jolt-y on the fast speed though. The music feature on horn is really fun. The car has an MP3 connection that works, though nowhere to place any device you'd have in there. Not an important feature to me, so no big deal. Directions were a nightmare- super vague. But all in all, it is a fantastic product for the price! I love it and really hope it lasts a long time!
This looks just like the real thing, only in a smaller model. Children can pretend to be law enforcers providing justice throughout the neighborhood on their own little motorcycle. Kids must balance themselves on this little motorcycle well to ride it, especially at the maximum speeds it is capable of going. Forwards, it can move at two speeds of 2.5 miles per hour or 5.0 miles per hour. That is pretty fast for a toddler’s ride. It can also go in reverse up to 2.5 miles per hour. More practice will be needed for this type of vehicle than the others we feature on this page because it does not have four wheels to support the child. It has just three wheels making it more prone to tipping over possibly. The hazard and signal lights make this so cute, plus the siren sounds ad headlights are neat too. It also has side view mirrors, back storage in the seat compartment, hand accelerator, and authentic-looking chrome detail. If your child loves pretending to be a policeman or policewoman, then this is just the perfect gift for them.

Here is where you get the cleaning materials ready and show them how to treat their toy with respect, to clean it right after they’ve had their playtime. You can give your kids a cloth and a miniature bucket of water, and get them to wipe off all of the dirty edges. This might even mold them into better drivers. Because they will want to avoid driving in messy puddles, or colored Play Doh (unlikely, but you never know).

Toddlers that seem to take an interest in riding toys, especially trains, will be thrilled with this wonderfully cute Thomas Train Set that can be used on or off the included track. The track is 18 feet long that runs in a continuous circle for endless hours of riding fun. It is easy to put together and take apart for moving and storing. The train can go up to one mile per hour on the track and up to two miles per hour off of the track. Once toddlers learn the skills of steering their train, then they can ride off of the track and go almost anywhere they want. Kids as young as one year old can learn how to ride Thomas safely as they build their motor skills and balance talents on the track. The ride uses a six volt battery that is included, but for the sounds a AA battery is needed. Sounds and verbal phrases come from the little yellow whistle when it is pressed. Operation of the vehicle is by a push button which kids learn how to use quickly. They can stop and go easily by manipulating this device. For hours of indoor driving play, Thomas the Train will entertain your toddler happily.

Children are excited when they see the ATV in real because they are so fun, however, they are also quite dangerous for kids this young even as passengers. No need to worry because this little vehicle gives them all the fun of a motorized car without the harm. The Li’l Quad is perfectly safe for toddlers because it is made especially for them from the slow speed to the low frame of the vehicle. Kids can get on and off very easily with the help of the comfortable foot rests on both sides. This vehicle only goes forward to increase the safety for the wee ones. It has easy access to the push button to make it go because that is operated right from the handlebars. The construction is extremely sturdy and the camo graphics and design make it seem even more rugged for the rough-and-tumble types. Operation is by a six volt battery that is included. This Power Wheels vehicle is fabulous for boys or girls who love adventure.

Don’t think that kids electric cars are only for boys; girls too, can have their very own wheels to drive. The Disney Frozen Jeep Wrangler is the girls’ version of Power Wheels’ Tough Talking Jeep Wrangler, except that it does not include the make believe radio communications and FM radio device. It is, nevertheless, one amazing piece of kiddie vehicle designed specifically for young princesses.

Battery lasts at least 4 hours (when new). The battery life will shorten over time, best case scenario it will last you a couple years. The instructions say it takes 18 hours to charge, but there is no light indicator, so the only way to know if's full is to check with a battery tester or multimeter. Do not overcharge the battery (i.e., don't leave it plugged in for days at a time) - this AC adapter/charger is not a trickle charger and could fry your battery to overcharge.
