* WHEELS ... Are hard plastic, they slip easily. No worse than any other model, but it basically doesn't work at all in our yard, too many slopes. The ideal surface for this is flat astroturf, but it works well on a flat parking lot. It slips on our wood deck (no traction). It also slips on even slightly damp grass, on uneven grass or tall grass, and uphill.

I wish I had one when I was a kid! So far, the battery usually lasts at least a 1/2 hour or about two miles. There's two speeds for forward and one for reverse. The slow speed goes a little slower than normal walking speed and the fast speed goes about as fast as a slow jogging speed. I like that there's a screw to lock out the faster speed for younger kids (late 2 early 3?). I think this Jeep is good for kids between late 2 - 5 our 6ish? My son just turned 4 and I think he's perfect size for it (of course I do). See the attached video. We've already been riding it for about a half hour at that point. It was on the fast speed and going about normal walking speed. The battery does slowly drain so it does give you a heads-up that its starting to run low on battery. I don't know exactly how long it takes to fully charge it but it's at least a few hours. You do need to assemble the Jeep but if you're good with directions, it's pretty straight forward. It took at least an hour to set up.
Updated to look just like the latest Jeep Wrangler, with distinctive grille, roll bars, and rugged front & back fenders, this Power Wheels vehicle will take little ones and their imaginations for a fun, exciting ride every time. Hard surfaces, wet grass and rough terrain are no match for the Jeep Wrangler’s two speeds (2.5 mph and 5 mph) and wide tread tires. And with its larger cockpit area, there’s more room for the driver and even a friend to come along for the ride! (Maximum 130 lbs.)
