A: It is proven that our auditory functions and familiar with the world begins in-utero. From an incredibly early age, we begin to make sense of our environment through auditory senses.  This helps to reinforce socio-cognitive function, as well as begin the early development of hand-eye coordination – it truly is a skill to rock-out to a tune while steering a vehicle!
The third recall in 2000[2] involved the Harley-Davidson motor cycle ride-ons, In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Fisher-Price is recalling about 218,000 battery-powered Power Wheels Harley-Davidson motorcycle ride-ons for repair. The foot pedals, which activate the ride-ons, can stick in the "on" position. Children can be injured when the motorcycle ride-ons fail to stop and strike other objects. The recalled Power Wheels Harley-Davidson motorcycle ride-ons have model numbers 74290, 74293 (with a red body) and 74298 (with a black body). A "Power Wheels by Fisher-Price" logo is located on the left side of the seat on the product, and the model number is located on a label in the battery compartment. Only model numbers 74290, 74293 and 74298 are being recalled. These vehicles are intended for children 3 and older, and the vehicles' speed is 2.5 or 5 mph. Toy, mass merchandise and discount stores, and Harley-Davidson dealerships sold the motorcycle ride-ons nationwide from September 1999 through August 2000 for about $190 for the red vehicle and $700 for the black vehicle.
It also features 4 large fully-knobbed pneumatic tires as well as rear suspension that intelligently follows any terrain. The classic bucket seat of old is also a mainstay in this particular ride-on toy complete with safety shoulder and lap harness to keep your child in his or her seat. Acceleration is controlled by a thumb-triggered device opposite a hand-operated disc brake located to the rear of the Dune Buggy; pretty much what you would expect from a classic bicycle setup. Its tubular steel frame construction simply means the Dune Buggy can take anything thrown at its way. It can support children and some adults whose weight don’t exceed 120 pounds.
There are not many young boys that can resist the power and majesty of the tractors, trucks or fire engines. It would seem so, especially, based on the wild popularity of the Peg Perego John Deere Ground Force Tractors. These miniature tractors have been built with incredible detail to mimic the appearance and feel of your typical tractor toys.A toddlers will take great delight in driving around while listening to the FM stations just like the adults.

It simulates the Dodge V10 engine sound and also has horn sounds to alert everybody to your presence. Deep bucket seats and a roll bar make it cool to sit in and it is roomy enough to accommodate not only your child but a friend or sibling as well.

The kid’s vehicle should also be able to smoothly simulate the driving experience of the grown-up vehicles. Another important feature to look out for when you are buying one of these is the how they are run. These vehicles are generally powered by electric batteries and as a result, the issue of battery life comes into play. The size of the motor as well as the strength will have a direct impact on the speed at which your tot will be able to control the motorized vehicle for kids. Size is generally an indicator of the battery life for the electric cars for kids. Batteries with higher voltage can support higher speeds.
Respect – you wouldn’t think that this is a huge issue with a toy, but you will find that you can teach your young one how to respect their own property and the property of others. What you will want to do is to teach them how to maintain and clean their car after they’ve gone for a trip. Imagine that they’ve driven right through a muddy puddle, and they expect you to hose down the tires and wipe off the flanks of the car for your kids– stop right there. Here is where you get the cleaning materials ready and show them how to treat their toy with respect, to clean it right after they’ve had their playtime. You can give them a cloth and a miniature bucket of water, and get them to wipe off all of the dirty edges. This might even mold them better drivers. Because they will want to avoid driving in messy puddles (unlikely, but you never know).
* SHIPPING ... Comes in HUGE heavy box. The box was undamaged, but the left motor broke off in transit, and cracked the frame. I decided to repair it myself instead of waiting for replacement parts (or trying to cram it back in the box), & noticed a design flaw - the rear electric motors (rear wheel drive, each wheel has its own motor) are not attached well at all, I believe there's a good chance they will eventually break off. My suggestion, while assembling it, drill a few extra screws into the frame for extra support.
