* SHIPPING ... Comes in HUGE heavy box. The box was undamaged, but the left motor broke off in transit, and cracked the frame. I decided to repair it myself instead of waiting for replacement parts (or trying to cram it back in the box), & noticed a design flaw - the rear electric motors (rear wheel drive, each wheel has its own motor) are not attached well at all, I believe there's a good chance they will eventually break off. My suggestion, while assembling it, drill a few extra screws into the frame for extra support.
* SPEED / GEARS ... There are actually 4 gears, controlled by a shifter in the middle: Low (2.5 mph), High (5 mph), Reverse and allegedly there's a Park (which i can't find, no matter how much I fiddle with the gear shifter). So realistically there's only 3 gears, though it ~really~ needs a brake or a park (while kids are loading/unloading, etc). It comes with a screw in the shifter to lock out high gear - remove the screw when your kids are ready for more speed.
There is also the issue of warranty. This is also an important consideration. Every miniature car that you purchase must come with a warranty. After all, they are going to cost you upwards of $200 and in some cases, up to $1,000. You also need to look at the reliability of these kids toys before purchasing. How long will the kids vehicle last, especially when it will be driven on the lawn and other mild off-road conditions around the home.
Adds all the things that makes a girl, a girl, while giving the tough ruggedness of the Jeep Wrangler. What girl doesn’t want to feel like a Princess and ride in style? Well this gives your Little Princess that, and then some! This caters to when she just wants to be a girl, or keepin’ up with the boys! It has both a supportive design and roomy storage compartment with the Disney Princess theme.
More importantly, however, is these playthings’ ability to encourage role-playing and pretend play among children. This can have a significant impact in their cognitive development especially in terms of problem solving, spatial reasoning, and understanding of cause and effect relationships. These can lay the foundation for more complex thinking and reasoning skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking, counterfactual reasoning, and divergent thinking. For example, when given a particular terrain to navigate through, their brains are processing a lot of information to help them decide which path to take or whether to run over the obstacle or not. They are also processing the possible consequences of every action that they decide to take. Thus, these kids ride-on cars help children develop their ability to predict based on their understanding of cause and effect relationships.
The kid’s vehicle should also be able to smoothly simulate the driving experience of the grown-up vehicles. Another important feature to look out for when you are buying one of these is the how they are run. These vehicles are generally powered by electric batteries and as a result, the issue of battery life comes into play. The size of the motor as well as the strength will have a direct impact on the speed at which your tot will be able to control the motorized vehicle for kids. Size is generally an indicator of the battery life for the electric cars for kids. Batteries with higher voltage can support higher speeds.
This is a large model, with some serious power. It has real wheels instead of plastic, which makes it roll like a dream on almost any surface. The unique ‘Monster Traction’ technology gives us confidence that theKawasaki KFX will live up to expectations on the off-road paths. For parents, be assured that this one is safe even if it is powerful – the speed lock and power lock brakes ensure that you’re taken care of too.
Want to your kids to experience the thrill of riding an ATV right on your backyard? Here is an awesome, real life looking ATV, and suited to slightly rougher terrain than most electric cars we looked at. 12 volts of power, two speeds forwards through the realistic twist grip speed selector (gas pedal is on the floor), and a reverse mode, this option is good for many hours worth of playtime.
Kawasaki is a well-known brand when it comes to motorcycles. In fact, it is one of the preferred brands for motocrossers and daredevils. Of course, this is not the only reason why you should consider giving your child the Kawasaki KFX from the Power Wheels toy division of Fisher-Price. With a very rugged all-terrain vehicle look, this is one of the best kids electric cars you can ever give as a gift.
When buying these items, it is also important to watch at the level and complexity of assembly that is required before your small one can safely run the car. Some cars require only quick assembly while others require extensive assembly which is going to consume a lot of time. There are certain these kids toys that come pre-assembled and you will only need to fix the seats and steering wheel.
So there are the roll bars, that distinctive Jeep grille, a roomier rear storage space and roll bars. The doors are real and fully functional ;they open and close with relative ease. The rear storage area of the Power Wheels Disney Frozen Jeep is roomier and can accommodate a good amount of the kids play items. The miniature Jeep Wrangler is available in two speeds- 2.5 mph and 5 mph. Whilst not difficult, it is a bit tricky to assemble, and thats before you (or the baby) tackle the job of placing the stickers.
* TURNING RADIUS ... isn't great, probably 6-8 feet. You really need a lot of flat space to use this. And this is heavy & bulky to take to the park or something like that. You could throw it in a pickup truck fairly easily, but it's too bulky to transport easily in a minivan, crossover, or sedan. If you don't have a big flat yard, or a school/park right next door, think twice.
