I purchased this for my 2 year old for Christmas and she absolutely loves it!! The remote control works great since she hasn't learned to steer by herself. Even my 9 year old thinks it's fun to ride it, of course his knees go up to his chin but it still pulls him around. I have gotten so many compliments on it and asked where I purchased it from. I was worried that it wasn't a power wheels but this is better than any power wheels we have owned in the past

Two driving speeds are on offer, low speed for 2.5mph cruising or high speed for 5mph racing. It also offers a 2.5mph reverse gear if you need to back up. The electronic power lock braking system kicks into action as soon as their foot lifts from the pedal and the Dune racer will automatically stop. You can also lock your child out of the high speed option when they are just starting out, giving you peace of mind.

* WEIGHT ... It's heavy, about 55 pounds. You have to lift it, it's very difficult for an adult to "drive" it. We have stairs to our front porch, which makes this really difficult to move & store. And it's longer & taller than necessary (the front bumper & the roll bars add several inches to the dimensions), and there's no handles, no good place to lift it. If you try lifting it by the roll bars, they will break.
We used a "cover story" to explain the unusual appearance of the wheels, which appeared not to have spokes at all. We concocted a fiction about "disc" wheels and some imaginary advantage in reduction of wind resistance. Everybody fell for it! Actually, the covers degraded performance, particularly in cross winds, but they were necessary for security reasons at the time.

A realistic looking car with working doors, clear windshield, dashboard, windows and side-view mirrors that can fold. The headlights are working LEDs and the car makes engine sounds and has a horn. It also offers an MP3 connector so they can travel in style listening to their favorite tunes on their speakers. They can even take their coolies with them storing them safely in the cup holders.

* TURNING RADIUS ... isn't great, probably 6-8 feet. You really need a lot of flat space to use this. And this is heavy & bulky to take to the park or something like that. You could throw it in a pickup truck fairly easily, but it's too bulky to transport easily in a minivan, crossover, or sedan. If you don't have a big flat yard, or a school/park right next door, think twice.
There is also the issue of warranty. This is also an important consideration. Every miniature car that you purchase must come with a warranty. After all, they are going to cost you upwards of $200 and in some cases, up to $1,000. You also need to look at the reliability of these kids toys before purchasing. How long will the kids vehicle last, especially when it will be driven on the lawn and other mild off-road conditions around the home.

As adults, we often underestimate the needs of the kids in our life, including how quickly they want to get behind the wheel and drive around the yard or on the miniature pavements in your home. These cars provide the only legal and safe-way through which kids can control around the home. There are qualities that you need to look for when you are purchasing a car for your kid or your toddler. Protection is always an important consideration. You’ll be keeping your eye out for protection, speed, parental remote control and more.
The popular F-150 truck now comes in a miniature model just for toddlers. They can ride almost anywhere in this adorable truck because it has wide, tough tires that grip easily to many surface types. It works well in grass and on any hard surface, and the truck can go up to 3.5 miles per hour. Even though that seems like a high speed for toddlers, it does have a grand safety mechanism. The automatic brake system stops the truck immediately when the driver’s foot comes off of the pedal. This alone will prevent many injuries and mishaps from occurring. Kids can ride in forward or reverse with easy manipulation of the controls. By maneuvering the truck, children learn the principles of cause-and-effect quickly. Also at practice when using the vehicle are gross motor skills, self-confidence building, and balance abilities. Probably the most unique attribute of this F-150 truck is that when the hood is lifted, kids can see the pretend engine. If that is not enough to get the little ones excited, it also comes with a large truck bed for storing things, genuine-looking side view mirrors and a great windshield. This neat vehicle will last for many years because of its durable construction of hard plastic materials.
Step2 ride-ons, plastic wagons, push buggies and cars are a must-have for outdoor fun. Our wagon and ride on toys have storage compartments for drinks, toys and parents' keys. Kids will be comfortable and secure in their riding toys as they cruise around the park or neighborhood. Little ones will have a blast steering their toy car or imagining they're on a ship as parents pull the wagon. Whether you need a canopy wagon to take to the beach or a motorcycle for kids, Step2 has an option that fits your toddlers needs.
The fully functional entertainment system is one of the most comprehensive we’ve ever seen, including an MP3 and MP4 player linked to a color LCD screen. This can keep your child entertained whenever they’re bored, and they don’t even have to go for a drive. They can sit in their car and jam out to music or watch a movie – it really will become their favorite place to be.
The unrivalled cool factor to this Fisher Price buggy will be the deciding one when your toddler shows it off to their friends. It has a darker, striking look that has a bad boy feel to it, but it still has all of the great functions that other models come with. There is a speed lock for high-speed use (so that your child can’t travel faster than your preferred speed) that will keep them safe if they are beginners.
Helping dad out in the garden will be fun packed with the Peg Perego John Deere Gator. The large dump bed with a tailgate that can open and close will let them load and carry away the dirt as dad works in the garden. A pulley mechanism ensures they can dump the load in the dump bed easily. Knobby tread wheels let the John Deere Gator travel effortlessly on grass, gravel, dirt or on the driveway.
The kid’s vehicle should also be able to smoothly simulate the driving experience of the grown-up vehicles. Another important feature to look out for when you are buying one of these is the how they are run. These vehicles are generally powered by electric batteries and as a result, the issue of battery life comes into play. The size of the motor as well as the strength will have a direct impact on the speed at which your tot will be able to control the motorized vehicle for kids. Size is generally an indicator of the battery life for the electric cars for kids. Batteries with higher voltage can support higher speeds.
Power Wheels Desert Drifters are the Power Wheels you coveted as a child, but all done up Mad Max-style - complete with spikes, spears, and other automatic weapons (of the foam dart variety). Your kids can pretend to be rogue gangs, by-the-book or disillusioned MFP officers, or just regular folks trying desperately to survive in a dystopian version of the future Land Down Under. These Power Wheels Desert Drifters have a top forward speed of 7.5 mph and can take quite a lot of hits (and driving) before needing a battery recharge. That's right, with Power Wheels Desert Drifters, your kids won't be fighting over gasoline - they'll be fighting over the extension cord. Just make sure they understand who runs Bartertown. YOU run Bartertown!

We definitely love the cute styling of the Disney Frozen Wrangler Jeep; just right for little princesses. It’s great for encouraging independence in driving to build their self-confidence while at the same time enhancing their social and emotional development. It’s also great for psychomotor development particularly spatial intelligence and visual motor coordination.

One of the items on our list has some serious power that we only recommend for older kids, and this is the Razor MX650 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike, which can travel up to 65 miles per hour. This motocross bike is definitely best for teenagers, those who have some balance and need for speed. The dual suspension is a nice comfort aspect to this product because it will get the motocross bike much more comfortable to ride on rougher ground. Tools are included for you to work on this electric motorcycle with your tot to assemble everything correctly.
This is another excellent set of power wheels from Fisher-Price. Working doors, spacious storage in the rear, 2 speeds – topping out at 5 mph, 12-volt battery life, and the option of restricting the speed to 2.5 mph, all advance for a really cool jeep. And if the shrieks of joy are not loud enough to hear, there is also a microphone, and it also plays a range of tunes over its radio, perfect for a youngster who loves to sing.
A great and awesome "toy" to have for my daughter! My daughter is like a celebrity riding this at the mall! My only problem is that 2nd gear speed is quite dangerously speedy! My little one will be hitting her head to the steering wheel and dangerously stop like she gonna break her neck (and might get a whiplash or something) because it abruptly stops! They should have made this to change slowly like from slow-medium-going fast if use the 2nd gear selection.... Other than that its a cool thing but be careful using this! I also love the fact that it is remote controlled and/or can be manually driven by my daughter when she is old enough. It may be a little pricey but I tell you, it pays off in the long run. This is something that my daughter can use until her pre-teen! I would definitely recommend this as a birthday girt to my friend's little girls! They will have a blast!
Electric cars are great examples of ride-on toys that are otherwise similar with pedal-powered vehicles, except for the fact that these run on battery power. Nevertheless, these playthings are excellent for helping kids develop their psychomotor skills particularly in terms of their visual motor coordination, balance, and proprioception. Flicking on switches also help enhance dexterity and master their control of fine motor movements.

It is also important to look at factors such as the design of these miniature vehicles. As you will notice, many electric cars for kids replicate the designs of the grown-up vehicles currently the market which your kids will love. The only thing missing are the nice logos of Audi, VW, BMW, Toyota, Jeep, Chevrolet or Buick. Look at the vehicle and determine if it has been made to excellent craftsmanship. Don’t leave anything to chance. Everything from the chassis to the body styling and the decals will tell you whether the vehicle has been manufactured to top quality standards for kids.
Give your toddler the ultimate muscle car in the Fisher-Price Power Wheels Ford Mustang Car. The Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler from Fisher-Price promotes a basic understanding of cause & effect as kids learn how to power the vehicle and make it go forward, back, steer, stop and start it up again. This easy-to-drive 4-wheeler helps build gross motor skills as kids cruise around the yard, on the sidewalk, or down the driveway – and stop safely when they take their foot off the pedal. Beginners start at a fun but safe 2.5 mph in forward and reverse – and when they’re ready, adults can move them up to 5 mph in the forward direction by removing the high speed lock-out.
