So far this thing rocks! Great for the price. Works well- lights and sound are great. The remote is an awwwwesome feature, as we bought this for a 2 year old. With this price point you miss a few frills though. You manually have to switch it from automatic to remote mode, and the button to do this is in the car. It is also controlled by either all manual or all remote. When in remote mode, the child isn't in control at all (which may be good for some!). I just wish my daughter could press the gas and I could steer. However, when using he remote the child can override the steering, though it doesn't sound good when this happens (like it may break?) :/ Also, there is no battery level or charge indicator- you just have to guess and wing it. Having two speed options is great. However, the stop and go is a really jolt-y on the fast speed though. The music feature on horn is really fun. The car has an MP3 connection that works, though nowhere to place any device you'd have in there. Not an important feature to me, so no big deal. Directions were a nightmare- super vague. But all in all, it is a fantastic product for the price! I love it and really hope it lasts a long time!
There is also the issue of warranty. This is also an important consideration. Every miniature car that you purchase must come with a warranty. After all, they are going to cost you upwards of $200 and in some cases, up to $1,000. You also need to look at the reliability of these kids toys before purchasing. How long will the kids vehicle last, especially when it will be driven on the lawn and other mild off-road conditions around the home.

This true-to-life Range Rover has a remarkably powerful two-battery operated engine with a gas pedal design that feels almost too real. The unrivalled cool factor to this Fisher Price buggy will be the deciding one when your toddler shows it off to their friends. It has a darker, striking look that has a bad boy feel to it, but it still has all of the great functions that other models come with. There is a speed lock for high-speed use (so that your child can’t travel faster than your preferred speed) that will keep them safe if they are beginners.
I bought this for my 18 months old son who wears 3T (He is a big boy). He loves it. It took a few minutes for him to learn how to pedal, but after a few tries, he was able to drive the jeep in the yard. He is still too young to use the steering wheel (doesn't know how to turn right/left), but he loves it. I can see him driving this for the next 2-3 years. On top of that, the price is great. Love this!
The best 12V car will be able to accommodate greater weights than 6V electric cars. Because of this, they can be operated by kids aged slightly older, typically up to 8 year of olds. The best 6V electric cars are better suited for kids that are aged between 3 and 5 year olds. Because the size and weights of the kids vary, this age range is only an estimate. For the best recommendations, you can also create inquiries or read the retailer’s product description so as to determine if the kids ride will be suitable. Once your kids are slightly older, they may like to play with Lego Star Wars sets or even Lego Technic sets.
We recommend involving your tot in the assembly process, so that they can learn how to use basic tools or at least see their mom or dad taking an interest in their toys. You can ask them to hold a screwdriver or bring you the next part that you need to install so that they also feel a part of the process. This could interest them in the mechanical side of motoring, and you never know, they may end up being do-it-yourself fanatics later on in life from these valuable memories.

The KFX features a very sleek and shiny design and styling to mimic the real off-roading ATV. The handle features a throttle mechanism that can propel the KFX to a maximum of 6 MPH. For younger daredevils, Mom and Dad can limit the speed to just 3 MPH so junior will not necessarily injure himself or herself. It’s got a low profile so kids can easily get onto the comfortable seat. There are foot rests allowing this electric car for kids to drive easily and effortlessly.
Respect – you wouldn’t think that this is a huge issue with a toy, but you will find that you can teach your young one how to respect their own property and the property of others. What you will want to do is to teach them how to maintain and clean their car after they’ve gone for a trip. Imagine that they’ve driven right through a muddy puddle, and they expect you to hose down the tires and wipe off the flanks of the car for your kids– stop right there. Here is where you get the cleaning materials ready and show them how to treat their toy with respect, to clean it right after they’ve had their playtime. You can give them a cloth and a miniature bucket of water, and get them to wipe off all of the dirty edges. This might even mold them better drivers. Because they will want to avoid driving in messy puddles (unlikely, but you never know).
Remembering the educational aspects of toys is essential, because no matter how young or old your children are they will always benefit from a bit of teaching. You don’t need to over-do it by sitting them down and forcing them to listen to you, but you can ensure it is enjoyable and interesting while they are already engaged in play – don’t be afraid to role play as a pedestrian or pretend police officer if the situation calls for it. Your baby will love the fantasy aspect to these toys, because it makes them feel like they can do things that they see adults doing, and that they are usually not allowed to do. It is also important to look at factors such as the design of these miniature vehicles. As you will notice, many electric cars for kids replicate the designs of the grown-up vehicles currently the market which your kids will love. The only thing missing are the nice logos of Audi, VW, BMW, Toyota, Jeep, Chevrolet or Buick. Look at the vehicle and determine if it has been made to excellent craftsmanship. Don’t leave anything to chance. Everything from the chassis to the body styling and the decals will tell you whether the vehicle has been manufactured to top quality standards for kids.

* SPEED / GEARS ... There are actually 4 gears, controlled by a shifter in the middle: Low (2.5 mph), High (5 mph), Reverse and allegedly there's a Park (which i can't find, no matter how much I fiddle with the gear shifter). So realistically there's only 3 gears, though it ~really~ needs a brake or a park (while kids are loading/unloading, etc). It comes with a screw in the shifter to lock out high gear - remove the screw when your kids are ready for more speed.
